Thomasson Pumpkin Patch
- by Brittany
Kevin had to leave us to do some training back in Reno. Last week was a long week. I was trying to find things to keep Jameson and I busy, so I looked up pumpkin patches. I found one that looked pretty good and was about an hour away. Jameson had woke up super early Monday (10-26) so we took early naps. Once he woke up, we headed out on our adventure. We found the farm, and Jameson had a blast. Please beware, there are tons of pictures since Kevin was not able to go with us, and I want him to see how much fun Jameson had.
They had a whole children’s area set up. There was a tractor the kids could ride, which was the first thing Jameson headed for.
Then, Jameson found the water troughs. The kids could pump the water, and the ducks would be pushed by the water to the other end. That’s all fun and games, except he’s playing with water which is wet, and it was cold.
There was a small petting zoo. They had rabbits, pigs, goats, a miniature donkey, calfs, and a miniature pony. I was told this donkey was sad, because his owner had come to visit over the weekend, and now was sulking in the corner. Poor little guy.
Inside they barn, they had a trike track set up. Jameson wasn’t quite big enough for the trikes, but he loved them anyway.
After the trikes, we headed back out to see the pumpkins. The field was huge.
They even had a spot set up for you to take family pictures. This is as good as it got for us.
We headed back to the Kids Koral where Jameson could milk the cow…
or play with bubbles…
or he could even sit in a saddle and rope a cow, but he wasn’t up for that.
Instead, we went on the hay ride.
We made one more trip around the farm, which included…
some funny pictures…
playing in the “corn” box (completely filled with corn and really hard for Jameson to walk in)…
a sit in the train, although they only do the train ride on weekends…
Another run on the trikes…
And a trip through the hay maze.
I made Jameson take a few more pictures before leaving.
We stopped by the little store and got some hot chocolate for me and a hot dog for Jameson. He didn’t care about his food. He took one more time around the Kids Koral while I ate some food. Then we headed back to the car. Jameson fell asleep as soon we were driving. He had so much fun. We will definitely be going back next year, when Kevin can come with us. We’ll have to make sure to go on a weekend, though, to be able to do all the activities available including the corn mazes.
