I’m a dinosaur

I have been sorting clothes, getting ready for the Just Between Friends consignment event. This means sorting, hanging, and tagging clothes I am going to sell. I also had toys, bottles, and other misc. items. I highly recommend this event. It’s huge. And, if you volunteer, you get to shop early. I got some killer deals on stuff. Anyway, while I was sorting, Jameson grabbed a 0-3 month jacket and put it on his arms. He ran around saying he was a dinosaur. Then he grabbed a few more 0-3 month outfits, trying to put his arms through all of them. Great imagination, kid.

A few minutes later, he had the jacket on the other way. He ran in the room yelling, “I’m Buzz Lightyear! Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!” This is what he looked like. Apparently, the jacket gave him wings.

I love that he’s developing an imagination. It’s hilarious.

I also found this picture on the camera. Jameson must have gotten a hold of the camera and actually taken a picture of someone rather than his toes, or itouch, or toys, or the floor, or….

I love this man!

So happy together…

Jameson is finally loving his little sister. How can you not take a picture when they’re all dressed up for church. Most of you probably don’t care, but I know the grandparents will appreciate this picture.

The second picture show’s Jameson’s “cheese” face which has been making appearances in our pictures regularly.

It’s back…

Remember this pose Jameson used to do?

We called it the George Costanza? Yah, well it’s back. Ella has become the next victim of the George Costanza.

Funny thing is, they are almost the exact same age in these pictures. Jameson’s was taken the end of June so he was 7 months, almost to the day. Ella is 7 days away from being 7 months. Do you think they look alike? 🙂

While talking to my sister one day, she mentioned how her daughter loves graham crackers. I hadn’t thought of giving Ella graham crackers. Well, I had an opened package, which means they are soft. The humidity here softens anything left open… not cool. (Sometimes, I miss the dryness of the desert.) So I got some out for Ella to munch on. She DEVOURED them. She probably went through about 6 crackers, and in the end, the crumbs probably equaled one.

I love how babies use their toes to push against everything.

This little girl makes good use of her hands if there’s food around. I’m sure you couldn’t tell that, though. And if you have graham crackers, watch out. Ella will be after them.

The big debate

We are at another turning point in Jameson’s life. Do I give him a nap or not? If I can get him to take a nap (not an easy feat), then he doesn’t go to bed till 10 pm or 11 pm or sometimes later. He sits in his bed and plays with anything in his room. Usually, the only way to get him to take a nap is if he falls asleep in the car.

If he doesn’t take a nap during the day, then by 5 pm he looks like this…

Mr. Jameson

Then he sleeps for a little bit, and I try to wake him up which causes a cranky child till bed time. But then, he doesn’t go to sleep. So, he still needs a nap, but then bedtime is a disaster. If I can keep him awake all day, he goes right to bed. I’m really not liking this. I still need him to take a nap. I like my quiet time. So far, it’s looking like the nap needs to disappear and bed time needs to be bumped up earlier. We’ll see how that goes.

For Aunt Steph…

Hey, Aunt Steph!

Check out my cute dress! Mom thinks it’s pretty dang adorable.

I’ve already stated that Jameson loves building towers with his blocks. He and Dad got busy tonight, and together, they built a big, big tower. Complete with open levels for parking cars.

He is so meticulous about where to place his blocks. The next morning, I heard a huge crash. Jameson woke up, and first thing went in and demolished his tower. That’s the best part, right? Knocking over the huge tower Dad took so long to build? Of course!

Fail

When we went to visit the pediatrician for Ella’s 6 month appointment, she asked if Ella was mobile. Yes she is. She can roll all over, and pivot on her tummy to turn different directions. She told me, I need to make sure small toys, cords, and anything else that can hurt her needs to be moved out of her reach.

I totally failed…

She loves the chords, though. I guess as long as I’m watching her, and she doesn’t have teeth, we’re ok. Once the teeth come in, chewing on chords might not be the best idea.

Out with the new, in with the old

We’ve tossed around the idea of getting Jameson a Nintendo DS. He has played with his itouch, and now, he is not challenged by it. I thought we should see if he could even get the concept of buttons, so we busted out the SuperNintendo. Let me tell you, I’m way better than Kevin at like every game. His excuse is that he only had a Sega growing up. But really, didn’t he have friends with Nintendo? Maybe not, but it makes me feel good since he kicks my butt on xbox. Jameson does the best at Jurassic Park, which is what he’s playing in these…

It’s all about the strategy.
