For Aunt Valerie

 - by Brittany

(June 23rd)

My aunt sent Ella an adorable outfit and headband when she was born. It was a 3-6 month outfit, so she finally fits it. I had to take a picture to show her.

See Jameson’s hand? This was the start of a new boy. He was actually trying to be nice and make her laugh. Up to this point, he hasn’t been too fond of her. He only acknowledges her if someone else is giving her attention. Then he yells, “No, that’s my baby sister.” He also wanted his picture taken since baby sister got hers taken.

This next picture portrays their personalities. Jameson wants your full attention, oblivious to his little sister. Ella thinks he is hilarious and is content to watch him.

I love these two, and thanks Aunt Valerie for the cute outfit.

By the way, she makes those headbands, so if you’re in need of a really cute accessory in a certain color, let me know. I can pass the word along and she can make them to fit your baby’s needs. And I mean needs not wants, because we all need headbands to match every outfit. (She also makes them for adults, too.)

He’s so funny

(June 18th)

Ella is finally starting to pay attention to her toys. I can lay her on the floor, and her octopus will keep her entertained. Well, for a few minutes, at least.

She also thinks her dad is really funny. Here she is when she first started to actually laugh.

Repurposed chair

Not really. Jameson decided the baby chair needed a new purpose… to be his tv chair.

Ella has finally found her voice. Here is video to prove it. (Pictures and video taken June 16th, 2010.) Don’t mind my narration.

Happy Birthday to you

 - by Brittany

June 15th was my 26th birthday. I am now heading full force into my late 20s. I don’t know how I feel about that. There’s good and bad. People are finally starting to take me seriously as an adult, but then I have neighbors who think we look so young.  Kevin surprised me the night before when we got home from the airport with a glider. I have only been asking for one since I was pregnant with Jameson, and I finally got it. He did a pretty good job, too. So when Kevin got home from work Tuesday, he had another surprise for me. He picked up a chocolate raspberry cake from a french bakery. I can’t say it tasted as good as it looked, but he tried. He even agreed with me on that issue.

We waited till the weekend then went for sushi and saw Killers for a date night. It was nice to get away from the kids for a few hours, and the movie made us laugh so what else can you ask for?

Double Trouble

 - by Brittany

Our last day in Sacramento, June 14th (I know I’m way behind in posting), Aunt Lynn came over and brought the girls some gifts. She spoiled them both, so we thought we should at least take a picture of them in their spoils before we go. I feel like these two should be a gum commercial.

(Ella looks like she is going to eat Jenna in the third picture.)

We got ready to go, and headed for the airport. I was a little nervous since it was my first time flying with 2 kids, especially since I was flying alone. We picked up some dinner in the airport and then waited to pre-board. Although, it’s not really pre-boarding anymore since 60 people get on the plane ahead of you. So, I apologize if I hit you in the head with my bag, or diaper bag, or carseat, or kid, or whatever else I’m carrying, but it’s your own fault for not letting people with children board with the handicap!

Anyway, both kids did great. Ella fell asleep not long after take off, and Jameson got comfortable in his chair. He wasn’t fond of take off or landing, and would rather not wear his seatbelt, but overall, we had an easy flight home.
