Bake at 375*

 - by Brittany

Yesterday was a lazy day as far as dinner was concerned, so today I thought I’d make up for it. I got 2 lasagnas made during Jameson’s nap, and then it was on to more important things. (One for dinner, and the other went into the freezer for future use.) I have been trying to make more homemade things rather than buying items from the store. One item is bread. We go through bread quickly now, because Jameson loves sandwiches and Kevin has been home for sandwich lunches, too. I found an easy recipe, and the bread turns out delicious.

Jameson and I also made Kevin cookies. Jameson loves to help me cook on the counter. Mostly, he just likes to be the taste tester. I’m pretty sure there are tons of pictures of me on the counter when I was little while my mom was cooking. I’m proud to say Jameson takes after his mom. Here’s how Jameson likes to help me make cookies.

(This was when I turned around to grab something. I turned back and he’d taken over.) And here is our end product for Kevin.

And, I’m happy to say I kept up on most the dishes as I cooked. My kitchen is not completely destroyed, which makes me happy.  Now, my house smells like fresh bread.

Sharing is Caring

 - by Brittany

We have been working at teaching Jameson how to share. Between his birthday and Christmas we heard a lot of “Mine.” I think we’re making progress. He took my apple, and decided to share with his donkey and Nikki.

He makes little eating noises as he feeds them. He feeds his animals everything. Usually it’s the little marble balls from the Hungry Hungry Hippo game. Thanks Christina… those little balls are all over my house.  He does have quite the imagination, though, which I appreciate. He can entertain himself in the mornings when I need just a little more sleep. Sleeping at night is hard these days. I’m pretty sure I’d rather be exhausted from waking up to feed a baby, then waking up because I’m being kicked by one all night.
