2nd time around

 - by Brittany

My mom got tickets for Brad Paisley and invited Kevin and I to go with them. Saturday, Sept. 26th, we met Erin, her mom, and brother for lunch (my roommate from college). They were in town to run the Tahoe Marathon. Afterward, we headed to Sacramento. We got to my mom’s in time for some dinner. Weston had agreed to watch J-mo for us that night. I think he used him as an excuse to invite some girls over to “help” him. 🙂 j/k. Thanks Weston!

We got in the car and headed out about 6 pm. We reached the concert traffic just after 7 and spent the next hour trying to get in to park. While we were sitting, waiting, we watch the crazy fans around us. Guys in their lifted trucks, not even trying to hide their beers.  There were a few girls that hopped a fence for a potty break. Well, traffic started to move faster after the girls had headed out. A few minutes later, a guy hopped out of a limo to go fetch them. They all came running back, and we started laughing. One girl had pee pants. I don’t know if she realized it at that point, but I’m sure she did once she sat back down.

We missed the opening guy, but got there in time for Derks Bentley. He got the crowed going. He even borrowed some guy’s beer to make a toast, then asked if he had the swine flu. Later, he brought him another beer. So nice of him. By the way, his base guitarist, from the side, looks like Keith Urban. He finally cleared up my concern, when he introduced the band.

It didn’t take long in between acts, but we made good use of our time.

Brad Paisley didn’t dissapoint. He was all over the place, and would play in front of the screen a lot giving a neat effect.

We had a great time! I would go see Brad any chance I got. Kevin even had a good time at his first country concert. Traffic coming home wasn’t as eventful, and we got home a little after 1 am. Thanks, Mom and Don, for letting us tag along!

Blue lips

(Sept. 21) Kevin took Jameson with him to run some errands. He came back looking like this…

The blue took a day or two to dissappear. Next time, go with the red slurpee.

So long taxi

 - by Brittany

As we were getting ready for our garage sale, I was organizing things in the garage. Jameson decided there were a few things he couldn’t part with. He climbed in his taxi and told me, “Mom! A boat!” He then preceded to steal a life jacket from the stack and try to put it on.

The funny thing is, Jameson hates the boat and wearing his life jacket. We woke up at 6 that morning, and started pulling things out of the garage at 6:30. By 6:45 we were well on our way. We continued on till noon, and then I took our signs down. We cleared out most of our things, and what we didn’t, we donated. A lady had contacted me, who worked for an organization, and they came to get everything left. We ended up with an empty garage.

Saturday, September 12th.

We woke up early, and headed down town for the Walk for Memory Walk for Hope. As the opening ceremonies were going on, Jameson found something more interesting. He loves the ducks.

We didn’t do the entire walk. We cheated and turned around early, but we were there right?

Kevin had been working on a car project while we were out of town. He was sound proofing his car and recarpeting it. After the walk, Jameson decided Dad needed some help, though.

I’m not sure how helpful he is, but he loves to help his dad.
